BoYeon Kim reconstructs multilayered perspectives by way of multiple cubes. The concept of memory is altered by her ideas of that specific time as she imagines potential possibilities. This is BoYeon’s 2nd solo presentation with the gallery from Time of Daily Life(2016).
In her Cube series, BoYoen explores how to transfigure memory through images of time and space. Each cube manifests the artists’ fragments of memory in different times. “I can imagine myself in this landscape, taken to another reality, that which could be Utopia”.
Cube series is in the Art Bank collection at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea.
