In her Cube series, BoYeon explores how to transfigure memory through images of time and space. Each cube manifests the artists’ fragments of memory in different times. She has stopped to capture these moments in life and in part, this process is a record of her memory. The artist attempts to use the recurring theme of stacked cubes to expand her memory (reality) to a desired outcome.
Cube series is in the Art Bank collection at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea.
