HyeRyun Lee

Korean, b.1960

Based in Incheon, Korea, she studied at RMIT, Melbourne, Australia. Having been born deaf, her perspective is a constant reinterpretation of sound, space, vibrations and in her own words, “unseen-not able to see in exterior” parts of the body.

She explores and expresses subjects that cannot be seen unaided, like a heart; veins; breath; and a visual interpretation of brain activity. In her titles, “Howling in Space, Vibration Scene or Vibration Landscape” she shows her interests in connecting with the world through vibration.
