Park’s work is simple in subject matter and minimal in her execution. She takes cues from nature motifs: leaves, flowers, and trees. She carefully uses white space to add a touch of solemnity to her work, and provides meaning behind these still life objects.
“When I make strokes with my brush and apply stone powder on the canvas, I feel that I sprinkle the lawn and sweep out the yard. This is my own way to open a new universe, which purifies my tired mind.”
